I wrote to the president a little while ago:
"Dear President Bush,
These evil Hezbollah b-----ds and their brother jihadists all over the world know all the right buttons to push, know just how to get the lily-livered Westerners to turn their eyes away from dead children and the old who are weeping over them.
"Have to stop the killing!" Let's use the old trick parents use to stop the kids from fighting.
"I don't care which one of you started it! I want it to stop!" There, now peace will return to the household. In those scenarious, the Guilty child, the one who did start it won both wars; they got their sibling once then got them again, using the parents.
While the One who didn't start it lost twice. First in the eyes of the trouble-maker and then in the eyes of the parents.
The parents lost big time, too. Do you think the child who suffered twice will trust Mom and Dad to be on their side ever again?
And as for Americans, it is only the stupid among us who cannot make the connection between what's being done to Israel and what's being done to the U.S. and its citizens, not to mention the rest of the non-Muslim population.
I believe that if the U.S. backs down from its defense of Israel it will mark the beginning of the end for all of us. And what an awful world we will leave for our children and grandchildren.
It is only the simple-minded who believe in peace at any cost, and our enemies are counting on our inability to pull the trigger.
PLEASE DON'T LET THEM GET AWAY WITH THIS! I know you will face more criticism about it but you have to remain strong!"
